Approaching a decade of working in self-managed superannuation fund (SMSF) accounting, Brittany has found herself a compliance expert!
Brittany is a Chartered Accountant and CA SMSF Specialist and has spent her entire accounting career assisting SMSF trustees and members with the large day-to-day and end of financial year accounting and compliance work that SMSFs require. As a heavily regulated industry, superannuation has many complex concepts and rules, of which Brittany works with our clients to break down the jargon and the “boring” nature of superannuation into a more accessible area.
Brittany is a thoughtful, detailed, and efficient accountant. Brittany believes that being patient and listening to people is the key to exceptional service. Everybody wants to have a voice and be heard, and Brittany takes the time to understand what clients are looking for and the ways in which she can help them. Brittany has extensive experience cleaning up the compliance and historical issues of SMSFs. She is always looking for ways to streamline the trustee and member requirements for maintaining an SMSF, by trying to alleviate some of the administration burdens. Brittany loves the challenge of her role where SMSFs can be a puzzle to solve, piecing together the story of the SMSF for the year and then presenting that to a client in a way that is easily understand. Brittany has had our clients go above and beyond to provide feedback commending her exceptional ability to explain contributions and pension rules so clearly, even after having their SMSF for 15 years!
Born in Carneigie and raised in Lara from five years old, Brittany is a true Victorian. Brittany comes from a family of strong women, follows in her mother’s accounting footsteps and has been strongly influenced by her hardworking parents. Brittany is nurodivergent and doesn’t just see in black, white and grey but sees the world as a spectrum of colours where people of all walks of life, come together.
In her professional life, Brittany wants to be remembered for empower women’s confidence and involvement in finance, de-mystifying financial terms and her close relationships with our clients. In her personal life, Brittany is known for the love of her family, her husband and daughter, her passion for video games and her inquisitive nature for history, culture and travel.
